I have put a bag in the washer and dryer it turned out fine. It was a scribble hobo. It had dirt and claret on it from when i feel because i am a klutz

Well, tonight, after reading the threads about it, I decided information technology was worth a shot. Absolutely Null was working to clean my pink striped soho that was purchased most four-5 years ago. I figured what the heck, I'm non going to use it if it's dirty so it was worth a try. I have tried everything to clean it.....Motorcoach cleaner, baby wipes, launder material and gentle lather, etc., etc. and NOTHING worked! The white and pink stripes were filthy from normal wear and tear. I sprayed the whole purse with Shout stain fighter and scrubbed the dirty areas with my nails. I basically bathed the whole bag in Shout! I filled the washing machine up with cold/luke warm water and used Tide detergent. Either this bag was getting clean or getting pitched! I was a chip nervous......I done it on a gentle wheel twice, yes, twice in a row! It came out beautiful! I am awaiting for information technology to dry, it is hanging and I stuffed a few kitchen towels in information technology so it keeps its shape. I blew a warm hair-dryer on it for a fleck and now I'm letting information technology air-dry. Tomorrow I volition remove the towels and so the inside will dry out. The leather is pretty wet, it will probably take a few days to dry out, but it sure was worth it! It is sparkling clean!! YAY!

Hey, if the purse was beyond promise and about to be thrown out and so it was worth trying; I'thou glad that it worked out well for yous! You should to find apple leather conditioner at the burlington coat factory to moisturize the leather.

Too many unlike types of fabric! Suede would wash/shrink differently than a jacquard would! ACK!

Shrinkage generally happens from heat and expecially in the drier.
Wash cold and air dry if shrinkage is a business organisation.

You can also stretch and re-shape it while wet than just permit air dry.

my friend stuck her tattersall pouch purse in the washing machine. it had barbecue sauce all over information technology and various pen marks and it looks completely new now! would i ever practise that to my bags? no i'd be too scared!

I must admit, I was very nervous to wash my signature coach handbag in the washing machine. Notwithstanding, I took the risk after spot cleaning it with the jitney cloth cleaner to no avail. I washed information technology on frail cycle with a few other frail vesture items. It did clean well! No damage washed. I immune it to air dry. Please note: this was not my first autobus bag. Information technology is my 6th.
